The Dengue Serology IgG & IgM Test is a blood test used to detect antibodies against the dengue virus. It helps determine whether a person has a recent (IgM) or past (IgG) dengue infection and is often used when the infection has progressed beyond the early phase.
It is used to support the diagnosis of dengue fever, especially in patients who are beyond the first 5 days of illness or when NS1 test results are negative.
No fasting is required.
Results are typically available within 8 hours.
Risks are minimal and may include slight pain or bruising from the blood draw.
